We choose technology to suit requirements, existing systems and ongoing administration. LANCOM/R&S and Fortinet both offer networking and security solutions; the choice follows the needs of each environment.

School platform & endpoint management
Different tasks. Clearly assigned.
IServ and baramundi have different focuses, with overlap in device management. Either can be used independently.
IServ
School accounts, communication and teaching services; device management depends on the deployment model.
baramundi
Deployment, updating and inventory of supported endpoints. Available functions depend on the selected modules.
The division of tasks is agreed for the existing environment, taking account of supported devices, deployment model and licences.
Network and security partners
LANCOM Systems and Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity have been combined in Rohde & Schwarz Networks and Cybersecurity GmbH since July 2026. LANCOM continues as a product brand.
Routers, switches, access points and firewalls provide building blocks for connectivity and security. The R&S LANCOM Management Cloud supports central administration of compatible components. We check functions, firmware and licences against the requirements.
Fortinet offers solutions for LAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls and VPNs. We coordinate the components with network areas, required services and remote access. FortiGate is one example of the firewall systems we support.
Available security functions depend on the device, software and subscribed services. Planning and ongoing maintenance therefore take the actual technical configuration into account.
Relution: Apple Mobile Device Management
Relution supports central enrolment, configuration and app management for Apple devices. Apple connections, enrolment and device groups are planned around their use in the school or educational organisation.
Existing devices, operating systems and management status affect the available options. The pilot, rollout and later changes are therefore treated as connected tasks.
