For schools
IT that supports the school day.
When a lesson starts, sign-in, devices, applications and connections need to work together. We help schools align their IT with how it is used and the administrative resources available.
Everyday school use
Different uses need different preparation.
A computer room, mobile class sets and staff devices place different demands on accounts, software and connections.
Computer rooms
Agree accounts, course applications and workstation configurations before use. Plan for later software changes.
Mobile class sets
Consider apps, settings and wireless coverage together. Check the preparation on selected devices.
Teachers and administration
Establish which access and applications are needed. Set permissions according to the tasks of each user group.
Existing equipment, teaching schedules and available administration resources guide the approach.
Plan around teaching
Existing systems provide the starting point. Together, we look at recurring difficulties, new requirements and equipment due for replacement. This helps establish useful priorities before individual components are purchased or changed.
Maintain the school platform and workstations
With IServ, we support school workflows and the management of users and permissions. Our endpoint management services also include baramundi, for tasks such as software deployment, patching, inventory and workstation provisioning.
The role of each system is determined by your school’s needs. A new computer room, for example, requires appropriate accounts, applications and a process for later changes. We consider these tasks from initial setup through to ongoing support.
Consider Wi-Fi and Apple devices together
Mobile devices need sufficient wireless coverage and the right apps and settings. We plan and maintain LAN and Wi-Fi networks and support Apple device management with Relution.
Device density, app downloads and shared rooms affect the requirements. Networking, enrolment and device configuration are therefore coordinated. Where appropriate, deployment starts with selected devices before expanding to further groups.
Coordinate deployment with school activities
Teaching hours and school events determine when changes are practical. We agree changeovers, required input and checks with the people responsible. Where workflows change, we provide technical guidance and training within the agreed scope.
After deployment, user changes, software maintenance and troubleshooting remain important. Clear points of contact and documented responsibilities help direct requests and organise ongoing administration.
- Assess the existing environment and recurring problems
- Agree maintenance and changeover windows
- Document technical changes
- Clarify responsibilities across the school, authority and support provider
Questions from schools
Does all equipment need to be replaced at once?
Not necessarily. We assess the inventory, support status and usage, then prioritise technical steps accordingly. Dependencies between existing and new systems are taken into account.
How are the school and school authority involved?
We establish who defines requirements, makes decisions and carries out administration. These responsibilities shape deployment and ongoing support.
What needs to work better during the school day?
